It's that time of year again at the Capstone, and Homecoming is just around the corner. Homecoming at the University of Alabama is always a special tradition shared by the thousands of students that have attended here throughout the years. From the annual bonfire pep rally to the appearance of Alabama Football legends, the campus is alive with spirit throughout the week of homecoming.
In addition to the pep rally and lawn decorations, what may add the most excitement to this time of festivities is the election for Homecoming Queen. In years past, the campus has been alive with chalk, buttons, stickers, and the like, but with a new year comes new restrictions on campaigning. That being said, there will still be a presence felt by these 12 girls as they attempt to convince you that they are the one and only candidate worthy enough to be crowned queen. The question is, who will it be this year? It is up to you to decide.
Voting is on Tuesday Oct. 4th on myBama from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Also, the Honors College is running a candidate this year, as it does every year, and this year's Honors College candidate is the very qualified Fernanda Lima. Regardless of which candidate you support, the important thing is that you get out there and make your voice heard.
